Dan Andriano and the Bygones have announced their debut album.

The self-produced 'Dear Darkness' will arrive on February 11 via Epitaph Records and features the Alkaline Trio bassist alongside Bay Arena musicians Randy and Dylan Moore and Nick Kenrick. Commenting on how the record came together during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, Andriano said:

"I spent that whole time trying to get better at music. I learned a lot about music. I sat in my garage every day and just played guitar and, you know, tinkered with basses. Which is something I try to do anyway, but I did it with a little more of an active interest in education, like time I feel like I lost learning or trying to get better at music while I was just on tour doing the same thing.

"It did feel sort of magical, just being that everything fell into place in such a crazy time when nothing was falling into place. That was something I haven’t felt in a long time."

To celebrate the news, the group have unveiled the LP's title track, an Americana-leaning number, driven by jangly guitar. It follows the already released cuts Sea Level and The Excess.

Alkaline Trio, meanwhile, are due to return to the UK with Taking Back Sunday next spring. Tickets are on sale now.

'Dear Darkness' tracklist:

1. Narcissus, Amateur Classic Narcissist
2. Sea Level
3. Dear Darkness
4. Wrong
5. The Excess
6. You Must Be Cold
7. It’s A Trap Door
8. One Minute Wasted
9. The Rest Of You
10. Into Your Dream (The Sophie Moon)
