Black Country New Road Announce New LP 'Ants From Up There', Plot 2022 UK And Ireland Tour

Black Country New Road have announced their sophomore album.
'Ants From Up There' will arrive on February 4 and feature the newly shared first single, Chaos Space Marine, a sprightly number that builds through the band's familiar meandering and chaotic experimental post-rock. Frontman Isaac Wood said:
"[Chaos Space Marine is] the best song we’ve ever written. We threw in every idea anyone had with that song. So the making of it was a really fast, whimsical approach - like throwing all the shit at the wall and just letting everything stick."
Recorded during the summer at Chale Abbey Studios on the Isle Of Wight, with longterm engineer Sergio Maschetzko behind the boards, the LP will arrive nearly one year to the day after its Mercury Prize-nominated predecessor, 'For The First Time', released back in February.
Bassist Tyler Hyde added: "We were just so hyped the whole time. It was such a pleasure to make. I've kind of accepted that this might be the best thing that I'm ever part of for the rest of my life. And that's fine."
In addition to their rescheduled UK and European shows this autumn, the London-based group have confirmed further dates in support of the record for the spring, following their biggest headline gig to date at the Roundhouse in Camden on February 8. Tickets go on general sale at 9am BST on October 22.
