Squirrel Flower, aka Ella Williams, has shared details of her 'Planet' EP.
The seven-song release will arrive on January 28 via Polyvinyl, following her sophomore album, 'Planet (i)', released back in June.
The EP comprises songs that didn't make it onto the record, including the newly shared track Ruby At Dawn, which unfurls around vocal harmonies over organ chords, and a slow, sad cover of Björk’s Unravel. Williams said:
"These songs are very special to me - one captures the tension, pain and exuberance of love, and the other is about one of my best friends ruby, us being 18, running around, getting up to no good, standing at the feet of the universe. The EP is a compilation of self-recorded demos of songs that didn't make it to 'Planet (i)' and some that made it to the 'Planet (i)' studio sessions but didn't make it to the record. I made a music video for Unravel too."
Squirrel Flower will kick off a North American tour on February 3, followed by a stop off in the UK in April as part of her spring European tour. Tickets are on sale now.
