The BRIT Awards 2022 with Mastercard will take place on Tuesday February 8 at London’s O2 arena.
The Masked Singer judge and stand-up comedian Mo Gilligan will replace comedian Jack Whitehall as host of this year’s ceremony, becoming the first black solo entertainer to do so. Tickets go on sale at 12pm on January 20. The event will also once again air exclusively live on ITV.
The artists in the running this year were unveiled in December 2021, with Ed Sheeran, Little Simz, Dave and Adele all leading the way with four nominations each. That same month, singer-songwriter Holly Humberstone was awarded the Brit Awards’ Rising Star prize, seeing off competition from Bree Runway and Lola Young.
In related news, Anne-Marie, Damon Albarn, Becky Hill, Mimi Webb, Craig David, Bastille, and Fontaines D.C. are among the big names set to play intimate London shows for War Child’s Brits Week in February. Tickets are on sale.
