The Brit Awards are a British annual music awards show, which sees the best in British music awarded for their contributions to music.
The event first took place in the Wembley Conference Center in 1977, thanks to the British Phonographic Institute. The Beatles became the ceremony’s first big winners, picking up three awards, and Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody won Best Single. It became an annual event after 1982, with Robbie Williams holding the record for winning the most awards, with an impressive 18 to date. The event has seen performances from huge acts over the years, including Harry Styles, Adele, Blur, Arctic Monkeys, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Dave, Sam Smith, Justin Bieber, Dua Lipa, Coldplay, Little Mix, The 1975, Sam Fender, Little Sims, Ed Sheeran, Lizzo, Stormzy, Lewis Capaldi, Billie Eilish and Rod Stewart, among others.
