Aluna has released a new single with Diplo and Durante.
Co-penned by Aluna alongside fellow British artist Kelli-Leigh, Forget About Me arrives with a video directed by Reggie, who previously helmed the clips for the singer's songs Don't Hit My Line and her team-up with Kaytranada and Rema, The Recipe.
Speaking about the infectious electro-pop track, Aluna said:
"This song is about that moment when you’ve cleaned up the trash pile that was once your heart -- you’re feeling yourself and you’ve worked out how to be alone but the past comes back to haunt you, hungry for your new self love and abundant vibes. Those are the moments you have to stay strong and really forget about your old love so that new fresh love can waltz into your life. When the one that got away comes back…what you gonna do? That’s not what I call destiny, you deserve better."
Commenting on the clip, she added: "The music video for Forget About Me is an exploration of how to skip to that 'new you’ feeling after a break-up instead of all the drama we go through before we feel better. I wanted to play with the idea of a futuristic game where if you win all is forgotten and you get to move on, easy as that…..I think someone needs to invent it for real though."
Aluna released her debut solo album, 'Renaissance', back in 2020, and has put a string of standalone singles since.
