Sigrid has shared a new song, It Gets Dark.

The gleaming pop track premiered as BBC Radio 1's Hottest Record and marks the latest preview of the Norwegian artist's forthcoming second album, the details of which are still to be announced. Introducing it online, she said:

"Finally! I've been excited for this release for what feels like ages now, haha. A song about letting go of fears. Thank you to everyone who's played a part in this song, I hope you guys like it as much as I do."

Offering a psychedelic synth-pop vibe, with passages of electric guitar, it's an ode to tackling the highs and lows in life. It follows the previously unveiled singles Mirror, Burning Bridges, and her Griff collaboration Head On Fire.

Earlier in 2021, Sigrid rescheduled her UK and Ireland tour dates to November, adding new dates in the process. Tickets are on sale.
