The Rolling Stones have announced some huge UK shows.
The legendary rockers will take over Anfield Stadium on June 9 and play BST Hyde Park shows in London on June 25 and July 3, as part of a wider European tour celebrating their 60th anniversary billed as the SIXTY Tour. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on March 18.
The concerts will mark the band's first since the rescheduled North American leg of their No Filter Tour in late 2021, which had previously been moved from 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
It was also their first trek without Charlie Watts, who passed away in August of that year, with the new dates set to include a tribute to the late drummer. Steve Jordan will sit behind the kit for upcoming trek.
The Rolling Stones performed on stage as a band for the first time on July 12, 1962, at London's Marquee Jazz Club, with the line-up then comprising Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, guitarist Brian Jones, pianist Ian Stewart, bassist Dick Taylor and drummer Mick Avory.
As part of their 60th anniversary celebrations, The Rolling Stones have also revealed a new artwork tongue created by award-winning British designer Mark Norton. Check it out on the poster above.
