Steve Aoki Confirms September Release For New Album 'HiROQUEST'

Steve Aoki has announced a new album.
'HiROQUEST' will arrive on September 16 and feature the DJ and producer's recently shared collaboration with Taking Back Sunday, Just Us Two. It will also include the collaborations Kult with Grandson and Jasiah, Save Me featuring HRVY, and Kong 2.0 with Natanael Cano, among many others. Aoki commented:
"The music is a connecting tissue to this universe that I'm creating. This album tells a fantastical story, but it’s also about freedom from restraint. I went right back to my roots—that raw, rock energy and that became the basis of it. From there, I began to explore everything and it sprouted into so many different genres."
The songs of 'HiROQUEST' will make up five chapters, each detailing a different mythological faction, which will tie in with a collectible companion trading card game co-created with MetaZoo Games, which Aoki co-founded and launched in March 2021. Head here for more details.
Aoki added: "Almost everything I do is some level of collaboration, whether it’s fashion, technology, music, art or culture. I love this idea that we can come together and put aside the things from our past that may have hardened or jaded us, and just be free."
Aoki, who is currently touring North America, has also revealed the line-up for his 'HiROQUEST' summer residency in Ibiza, taking place at Amnesia every Tuesday throughout July and August. The stacked bill features the likes of Alison Wonderland, Bassjackers, Crankdat, Kayzo, Sullivan King and many more.
