Killer Mike has shared his first song as a solo artist in over 10 years.
The Run The Jewels rapper has enlisted Young Thug and comedian Dave Chappelle for Run, which boasts production from No I.D. and comes with a powerful video directed by Adrian Villagomez.
Opening with a monologue by Chappelle, and featuring a guest verse from Thugger, the political track rolls out over a bassy beat that rumbles under flourishes of horns. The clip, meanwhile, portrays black soldiers fighting against white fascists on a battlefield, while the words "Free Thug, Protect Black Art, Free Gunna" are featured on a flag during Thug's verse.
Young Thug and fellow hip hop artist Gunna are still currently behind bars in Fulton County, Georgia on charges around allegedly conspiring to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act.
Killer Mike, meanwhile, revealed earlier in 2022 that Run The Jewels had started working on the follow-up to 2020's 'RTJ4'.
