P!nk Releases New Single Irrelevant

Thursday, 14 July 2022 Written by Laura Johnson

P!nk has released a new single.

Irrelevant is the American singer's response to the recent overturning of Roe v. Wade, and other concerning political developments. It's a pop protest anthem calling for people to stand up for their rights. P!nk wrote it with Grammy-Award winning producer and songwriter Ian Fitchuk. She said:

“As a woman with an opinion and the fearlessness to voice that opinion, it gets very tiring when the only retort is to tell me how irrelevant I am. I am relevant because I exist, and because I am a human being. No one is irrelevant. And no one can take away my voice.”

All proceeds from the track will go to the advocacy group created by Michelle Obama, When We All Vote. The singer is an ambassador for UNICEF, and supports various other charities, including No Kid Hungry, Make-a-Wish Foundation, Planned Parenthood, Autism Speaks and Human Rights Campaign.

P!nk's last studio album was 2019's 'Hurts 2B Human', and she put out the live LP 'All I Know So Far: Setlist' in 2021.
