Heddlu, the new musical project by Estrons founding member and guitarist Rhodri Daniel, has shared a new song.
Following May's single Locker, Auto-Da-Fé was born following a turbulent few years for the Ceredigion native, who was diagnosed with hearing loss, tinnitus, and severe sensitivity to noise after disbanding Estrons in 2019.
The project developed after Daniel was inspired to make music again following a chance meeting with a retired record producer, and a 900-mile hike of the entire Welsh coastline — suggested to aid his recovery — where his new material was penned.
The alluring and eclectic vibe of Auto-Da-Fé — 'Act Of Faith' in Spanish — swirls across soaring synths and jarring electronic effects. It was influenced by the trial that heretics and apostates faced during the Spanish inquisition before being condemned, andPress play below.
