Following Dust and Liar, the track unfurls across a wall of post-rock guitars, guided by lead singer Stephanie Mannaerts' alternately sweet and savage vocals. It marks the latest taster of the Belgium trio's upcoming third LP, 'Unison Life', which is due out on October 21. Head below to view its video directed by Jonas Hollevoet. Mannaerts said:
"Victoria is about getting older. You know grown-up life is lurking around the corner, but you're not afraid of what's coming, because we're all going to go down together."
Bassist Peter Mulders added: "Victoria has always felt nostalgic for us. Back to the old Brutus days. The guitar riff has been around since 2013, but it is only now that it shines in a full song. What can be seen as a quieter song with a normal song structure, turned out to be a huge step for us to take. We can't hide behind effects, tempo changes, shouts or blasts."
Brutus will tour the UK in November. Tickets are on sale now.
