National Album Day will return on October 15.
Back for its fifth year, the 2022 theme will be debut albums, following previous themes of women in music and the '80s, among others.
Singer-songwriter Jake Bugg and rising Manchester artist Pip Millett are the latest artists to be confirmed as National Album Day ambassadors, joining Franz Ferdinand, KSI, The Mysterines, Sam Ryder and The Staves in celebrating the creativity and artistry that goes into making an album.
The debut theme will spotlight a range of first album releases across various genres and decades, from debut recordings that have become classics to those that took a little longer to be fully appreciated or which, years later, merit reappraisal.
See below for a list of exclusive debut albums that are being released or re-issued on vinyl and CD to coincide with the annual event.
National Album Day began in 2018, and is currently presented in association with official audio partner Bowers & Wilkins and official broadcast partner BBC Sounds.
