Hot off the heels of their North American stadium run, the legendary rock bands have confirmed they’ll bring the trek across the globe, kicking off on February 18 at Foro Sol in Mexico City before further dates across Latin America.
They’ll head to Europe in May, beginning with a date at Sheffield’s Bramall Lane stadium, before further UK and Ireland gigs in the summer, including a huge London show at the iconic Wembley Stadium and a headline appearance at Lytham Festival on the Lancashire Coast in July.
They’ll also play Dublin’s Marlay Park before wrapping up the run in Glasgow at Hampden Park stadium on July 6. Mötley Crüe said:
"We had an incredible time playing The Stadium Tour in North America this summer and we truly can’t wait to take the show around the globe with The WORLD Tour in 2023. Crüeheads in Latin America and Europe: Get ready! We’re coming for you next and can’t wait to finally see all of you out there again next year!"
Joe Elliott of Def Leppard added: "After finally getting back on the road and having a monumental summer tour in the US and Canada this year, we’re beyond thrilled to be bringing this massive stadium tour to major cities all over the world, and kicking off Europe in Sheffield where it all started for us 45 years ago. We’re looking to forward to seeing you out there, somewhere soon!"
Def Leppard released their 12th studio album, ’Diamond Star Halo’, back in May. Crüe, meanwhile, put out their last album, ’Saints Of Los Angeles’, in 2008.
What was planned to be the latter band’s final show took place in Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve in 2015, before frontman Vince Neil reunited the group in 2018, releasing four new songs the following year for the soundtrack accompanying the Netflix biopic The Dirt.
UPDATE 12/01: The Scottish stop of the tour has been moved to Glasgow Green. Original tickets remain valid.
