Sophie Ellis-Bextor has announced her seventh studio album.
The follow-up to 2016's 'Familia' is called 'HANA' and was produced alongside Ed Harcourt, marking the third in a trilogy of LPs between the two friends. It'll feature the new single, Breaking The Circle, which premiered on Zoe Ball's Breakfast show on BBC Radio 2 this morning (February 8). Press play below.
The spirited disco-pop track follows her single Hypnotized with Wuh Oh, and her live record, 'Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s Kitchen Disco: Live from the London Palladium', which were both released in 2022. She said:
"Breaking The Circle is inspired by those late-night moments you have, where you question everything and feel a buzz of adrenaline about what tomorrow might bring. It’s urgent and dramatic and optimistic… the perfect introduction to the new album."
Sophie Ellis-Bextor will take her Christmas Kitchen Disco Tour across the UK in November and December, following a headline slot as part of Glasgow's Summer Nights concert series in August.
