Everything But The Girl have released a new single, Caution To The Wind.
It's the second taster of the husband and wife duo's upcoming album, 'Fuse', their first LP in more than 24 years. Following the previously shared cut Nothing Left To Lose, the soulful electronic offering is described by vocalist Tracey Thorn as, "a simple song about arrival and seizing the moment, so with the music we tried to capture the feeling of a perpetual point in time."
Ben Watt added: "I let the words quickly collapse and loop inside the production. The drums emerge and repeat, and everything then starts to unfold in cycles of anticipation and release. I guess it's just classic nightclub tension and euphoria."
Largely recorded in secret at their home across the spring and summer of 2021, with additional sessions taking place outside of Bath, 'Fuse' features 10 tracks and is described as a "modern take on the lustrous electronic soul" that they once produced in the mid-'90s.
It'll arrive on April 21 via Buzzin' Fly Records through Virgin Music Group, except in North America, where it'll drop on Buzzin' Fly Records through Verve. It marks their first full-length release since 1999's 'Temperamental'.
