Killer Mike Announces New Solo Album 'Michael', Shares Lead Single Don't Let The Devil

Thursday, 20 April 2023 Written by Jon Stickler

Killer Mike has announced a new solo album.

'Michael' will arrive on June 16 and marks his first solo full-length release since 2012's 'R.A.P. Music'. The announcement coincided with 4/20 and the Run The Jewels rapper's birthday.

Mike has shared the record's lead single, Don't Let The Devil, a collaboration with his Run The Jewels partner El-P, and Thankugoodsir. Produced by El-P, No I.D. and Little Shalimar, it features gospel samples over a drum loop and offers a throwback aesthetic without sounding dated. It follows the 2022 singles Run with Young Thug and Dave Chappelle, and Talk'n That Shit.

Run The Jewels, meanwhile, recently announced 10th anniversary shows in New York, Chicago, Atlanta and Los Angeles.
