Kelly Clarkson has dropped a new single, Favorite Kind Of High.
Co-written and produced by Jesse Shatkin, the breezy, summer-ready track will feature on the Grammy Award-winner's 10th studio album, 'Chemistry', which is due out on June 23 via Atlantic Records.
Following the previous singles Mine and Me, it arrives with a live video shot during the vocalist's performance of 'Chemistry' at Los Angeles' Belasco Theatre in April.
In the clip, which was directed and produced by Weiss Eubanks and Jonny Mars, Clarkson tells the audience she didn’t want to make, "some sad, I got divorced and my life sucks dumpster fire record." She added, "I wanted it to be about the whole relationship… There’s nothing like that high when you first see someone and you're like ‘Oh, shit.'"
Following the release of 'Chemistry', Clarkson will take over the Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood, Las Vegas for her 10-date residency, Chemistry: An Intimate Evening with Kelly Clarkson. Tickets are on sale now.
