Empire State Bastard have announced their debut album.

Having teased the record with the opening track Harvest in March, the new extreme metal band led by Biffy Clyro's Simon Neil and Oceansize's Mike Vennart will release 'Rivers Of Heresy' on September 1 via Roadrunner Records. Head below to check out the cover art and tracklist.

Neil added: "Lyrically, it’s as misanthropic and nihilistic as I’ve ever written."

This summer, the band have intimate shows scheduled in Leeds and Cambridge, alongside appearances at Download Festival on June 9 and Hellfest on June 18. They'll also play 2000trees on July 7 and ArcTanGent on August 17.
