Heavy Lungs Announce Debut Album 'All Gas No Brakes' And Autumn UK Tour

Heavy Lungs have announced their debut album.
'All Gas No Brakes' will arrive via Alcopop! Records on September 29. The Bristol punk and noise-rock band will support it with a UK tour in October, with gigs confirmed in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle, Leeds, Sheffield, Manchester, Nottingham, Birmingham, Bristol, London and Brighton. They said:
“Well, well, well… they said it couldn’t be done, but look what just kicked you in the ass. Our debut album is coming out. It’s a dancer and it’s a prancer, and hopefully it’s a life enhancer.
"We recorded it way back in 2021 with head wizard, Wiz, and his jester Stan for some extra magic and spice, and it’s been a long old wait, but only another 3 months and it’s yours!”
Discussing the upcoming shows, they added:
“Ah yes the life affirming smell of service station Greggs, the casino bit you never go in, the numb buttocks of the long late night drives, the longing glances exchanged with strangers in McDonalds queue, gallons of van temperature piss, the cathartic bliss of performing, olympic loads ins, disco loadouts, green rooms, blue mondays, the warm embrace of the fans. In other words: perfection we cannot wait to experience again. Brazil will have to wait but the lucky residents of the cities below are in for the grandest show on earth—Heavy Lungs live and uncut.”
Tickets go on general sale at 10am this Friday (June 16). Meanwhile, head below to check out the albums artwork, tracklist and title track.
Commenting on the latter, vocalist Danny Nedelko said: “This high-octane, dance floor firecracker is all about giving it absolute beans. It’s about knowing you are the big cheese. You’re the main course.”
Heavy Lungs will play Heartbreakers in Southampton the day before their appearance at Oxford's Truck Festival on July 21.
