Spirit Of The Beehive have announced a new EP.
The Philadelphia trio will drop 'I'm So Lucky' on September 1 via Saddle Creek, following up 2021's full-length release 'Entertainment, Death'.
Material for the project was written in the wake of bandmembers Zack Schwartz and bassist Rivka Ravede's 2022 break-up of their 10-year personal relationship. Frontman Schwartz said:
"For the first three or four months after [the relationship] ended, it was pretty rough. I don’t know if anybody was sure we would continue doing the band. But then we sorted it out slowly and we just all wanted to get back to work."
As a preview, head below to hear the noisy and intense singles Tapeworm and Natural Devotion 2, and watch their double video directed by Daniel Patrick Brennan.
Following the EP's release, the band will head out on an eight-date tour across the East Coast. Head here for details.
