The Pretenders Announce Intimate UK Shows For Autumn

The Pretenders have confirmed a run of UK club shows for the autumn.
The band will visit London, Manchester and Glasgow on October 19, 23 and 25, respectively, in support of their recently released new album, 'Relentless'. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday (September 22).
The run also includes a special album launch gig at Liverpool's new, state-of-the-art venue Content on October 22. Tickets for that performance are already on sale. Speaking about playing more intimate venues, vocalist Chrissie Hynde said:
"Well, everyone prefers being in them. I certainly would rather go to see a band in the club. So there’s that, because I’m still an audience member. And also it’s just more fun. It’s a small stage. And you can see everyone and they’re right in your face and it’s a laugh, that’s why you’re there. If I see some crazy in the audience, I can really feed off of that. You can’t see it when you’re too far away."
Having performed at the UK's BBC Radio 2 In The Park last night (September 17), the band will head to Europe for concerts in France, the Netherlands and Germany. They also have US dates in the diary for October, including an appearance at Ohana Festival, California.
