Twin Atlantic have returned with a new song called Asleep.
Produced by vocalist Sam McTrusty and bassist Ross McNae, with mixing by Romesh Dodangoda at Long Wave Recording Studio, the anthemic, guitar-driven rocker marks the Glasgow band's second drop of 2023, following September's single Stuck In A Car With You.
Twin Atlantic are currently working on their new studio album, the follow-up to 2022's 'Transparency', which is expected to arrive in 2024 via the group's own label, Staple Diet. McTrusty commented:
"Asleep was so fun to write and record. We really managed to recapture the joy we’ve felt about being in our weird band our whole adult lives again. We feel like it’s the perfect mix of joy, melancholy, serious subject matters, but with a throwaway attitude. Hopefully it gives people who listen the same injection of excitement it gave us. Can’t wait to play this one live."
Alongside the new music, the four-piece have announced a special homecoming show at the O2 Academy Glasgow for May 23, following their previously scheduled dates in Nottingham, Stoke and Sheffield. Tickets for the new gig go on general sale at 10am on Friday (December 15).
