Joanne Shaw Taylor Announces New Album 'Heavy Soul', Posts Title Track

Joanne Shaw Taylor has announced her new album.
'Heavy Soul' will arrive through Joe Bonamassa's Journeyman Records on June 7, following up 2022's 'Nobody's Fool'.
Produced by rock sound guru Kevin Shirley, it'll feature the newly shared title track, which is propelled by a punchy rhythmic groove from which the chart-topping British artist emerges with a bluesy guitar work-out.
Other songs on the record include her 2023 singles Sweet 'Lil Lies, All The Way From America, Black Magic and Wild Love, as well as A Good Goodbye, which landed in January. Commenting on the project, she said:
"For me, it was about connecting the dots from 'Nobody's Fool' back into the blues... It's a mix of contemporary soul-pop and roots music."
Taylor will kick off a UK tour in Manchester on Saturday (February 17), before North American dates later in the spring. Tickets are on sale now.
