Divorce Confirm Shows In Nottingham And London, Share New Single Gears

Divorce have shared a new single, Gears.
Produced by Catherine Marks, known for her work with Boygenius, Foals and Wolf Alice, the slow-burning, grungy track builds towards a melancholic climax and marks the band's first music of 2024, following their 2023 EP 'Heady Metal'. Singer and guitarist Felix Mackenzie-Barrow said:
"Gears was written when I’d just moved to London and was working very long hours whilst trying to keep up with increasing band commitments for Divorce. I was spending all of my time working or playing shows and couldn’t maintain any kind of social life or keep up with the spending a social life felt like it would cost. The song came out of those frustrations."
The Nottingham quartet have also announced their biggest headline UK show to date at London's Islington Assembly Hall on October 23, which will follow hometown shows at The Bodega on September 25 and 26. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday (March 15).
