Kerry King has dropped another track from his upcoming debut solo album.

Following the thrashy Idle Hands, Residue marks the second preview of 'From Hell I Rise', due out through Reigning Phoenix Music on May 17.

Head below to view the heavy and commanding track's fiery video, which was co-directed by Jim Louvau and his partner Tony Aguilera, known for their visuals for Jerry Cantrell, Sebastian Bach, Exodus, and Killer Be Killed.

The clip was filmed at the pair's downtown Phoenix studio earlier this month and captures King's new band; Death Angel vocalist Mark Osegueda, former Machine Head guitarist Phil Demmel, former Hellyeah bassist Kyle Sanders, and former Slayer drummer Paul Bostaph in blistering action. King commented:

"I come from a big fire pedigree and my music works with fire. I’ve always written horror-type music, so it made sense to incorporate fire into the first video where you get to see the entire band, which I think is just awesome. I think fire goes hand-in-hand with the devil, and I’m no stranger to talking about the devil..."

Louvau added: "I knew this would be the first time that the world was going to see the band performing together, so I wanted to create a fast moving visual assault. Pyrotechnics and Kerry King clearly go hand in hand and seemed to fit like a glove, so Tony and I wanted to create something that felt familiar, but also something new and exciting. I also knew I could get away with certain visuals like a burning pentagram, because it's important to keep pissing parents off and keeping the spirit of metal alive."

King and band are set to appear at Florida's Welcome To Rockville and Sonic Temple festival in Columbus, Ohio in May, the UK's Download festival and Belgium's Graspop in June, and Rocklahoma in Oklahoma in August.
