Loyle Carner has announced a new live album.
'hugo: reimagined (Live From The Royal Albert Hall)' will be released on May 24, and will be previewed by the live version of A Lasting Place tomorrow (May 3).
The record captures the South London artist's hometown show at the Royal Albert Hall on October 6, 2023 (Carner's birthday). He performed his 2022 Mercury Prize-nominated album 'Hugo', as well as tracks from his back catalogue that were reimagined with additional musicians and guests. He said:
“Whilst touring ‘hugo’ for the last couple years I noticed that the music began to change as the shows went on. I wanted to catch a snapshot of their evolution and document how alive and fluid the things we make are. A special way to spend my birthday”
Carner has a busy summer ahead, with outdoor shows scheduled across the UK and Ireland, including a headline show at London's All Points East with a stacked supporting line-up. Tickets are on sale now.
