Cyndi Lauper Announces Girls Just Wanna Have Fun North American Farewell Tour For Fall

Cyndi Lauper has announced her Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour.
The North American trek will take place in the fall, kicking off on October 18 in Montreal, Quebec, with dates continuing through to December 5, when it will wrap up in Chicago, Illinois. Tickets go on general sale at 10am local time on Friday (June 7).
The shows mark the Grammy Award-winning pop icon's first major tour in a decade, and takes its name from her 1983 breakout single off her debut album from that same year, 'She's So Unusual'.
Lauper previously scheduled a one-night only performance at London's iconic Royal Albert Hall for June 26, marking her first UK solo show in eight years. The singer will also perform at this year's Glastonbury Festival on the Pyramid Stage.
A new documentary titled Let The Canary Sing, which tells Lauper's life story, will premiere on Paramount+ in North America tomorrow (June 4), followed by a release in the UK, Australia, Latin America, Brazil, Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland and Austria on Wednesday (June 5). It was preceded by the release of a compilation album of the same name on May 31.
Lauper's last studio album was 2016's 'Detour'.
