Floating Points, aka Sam Shepherd, has returned with his first release of 2024.
Arrving via Ninja Tune, Del Oro is a pulsing yet airy six-minute soundscape that follows the British electronic artist's 2023 track Birth4000. Head below to view the song's accompanying "alive painting", created by Japanese artist Akiko Nakayama.
Shepherd's most recent album is 2021's 'Promises', which he recorded with the late jazz legend Pharaoh Sanders and the London Symphony Orchestra.
Floating Points will play European and US festivals this summer, including All Together Now in Ireland, London's All Points East supporting LCD Soundsystem, and Bristol's Forwards.
