Jamie Webster has released a new single, Breadline.
Produced by Tim Cunningham, the folky, strummed acoustic guitar-led track offers lyrics focussing on hope during difficult times, and marks the Merseyside-born singer-songwriter's first new material since the release of his second album, '10 For The People', in February. He said:
"The first half of the song is about someone who's coming through a hard time. They've got no work, they just lost a relative, they've got no hope and they're on the breadline. And then in the second verse, they find hope, finding a bit of work and maybe the chance to turn their life around. I've written it through someone’s eyes who is in that situation. It's about the character that I'm telling the story for."
It arrives ahead of the 30-year-old's huge homecoming concert at Liverpool's 40,000-capacity Sefton Park this Friday (July 12).
He'll also support Richard Ashcroft at Kew The Music in London on Sunday (July 14) before an appearance at Hardwick Festival in August.
Jamie Webster Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows
Fri July 12 2024 - LIVERPOOL Sefton Park
Mon August 19 2024 - LEEDS Wardrobe
