Killer Mike Announces New Project Michael & The Mighty Midnight Revival

Killer Mike has announced a new project titled 'Songs For Sinners & Saints'.
Billed as an epilogue to his 2023 album, 'Michael', the 10-track release will arrive digitally this Friday (August 2) under the moniker Michael & The Mighty Midnight Revival, his gospel group. Mike wrote in a statement:
"I had a year to live with 'Michael', and I realized I had more I wanted to do with this sound before moving on.
The collection includes the Atlanta rapper's recent single Humble Me, which saw him reflect upon his arrest at the 2024 Grammys, where he picked up awards for Best Rap Album, Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance. It'll also feature guest spots from Offset, Key Glock, Blxst, and Project Pat, among others, alongside Slummer 4 Junkies a reworking of 'Michael' tracks Slummer and Something For Junkies.
He added: "For me, this is a testimonial. When I was growing up an important part of church service was people having the opportunity to stand up and give public testimony on their trials, tribulations, and triumphs. After the celebratory atmosphere that followed 'Michael' I was reminded that tribulations never cease, but God is always with me and this is a testimonial of my tumultuous times, my trials, and my continued triumph in spite of doubt, outright hate, and fear. I am here to speak to and with my fellow sinners and Saints."
Mike will celebrate 'Songs For Sinners & Saints' during his residency at New York's Blue Note Jazz Club at 10:30pm EST tonight, tomorrow and Wednesday (July 29, 30 and 31).
He'll then bring his Down By Law Tour to the UK, Ireland and Europe in August. Tickets are on sale now.
