MJ Lenderman Shares New Single Joker Lips From Upcoming Album 'Manning Fireworks'

MJ Lenderman has shared a new single, Joker Lips.
It serves as the latest preview of the Wednesday guitarist and Waxahatchee collaborator's fourth solo studio album, 'Manning Fireworks', due out through Anti- on September 6. Guided by his lackadaisical vocals, the alt-country track arrives with a video directed by Ben Turok.
It follows the record's previously shared cuts She’s Leaving You and Rudolph, which came out this June and July 2023, respectively.
The new LP was recorded during breaks in the musician's touring schedule, at Drop Of Sun Studios in his hometown of Asheville, North Carolina, alongside co-producer and frequent collaborator Alex Farrar, with Lenderman performing nearly every instrument on the album.
Lenderman will support the follow-up to 2022's 'Boat Songs' with UK and European tour dates alongside his band The Wind in November. Tickets are on sale now.
