Better Lovers have released a new track from their upcoming debut album.
Coupling jolting math-metalcore guitar riffs with throat-shredding vocals, the chaotic Future Myopia serves as the second preview of 'Highly Irresponsible', due out on October 25 via Sharptone Records.
Last month, the hardcore supergroup — ex-Dillinger Escape Plan vocalist Greg Puciato, former Every Time I Die members Jordan Buckley, Clayton "Goose" Holyoak and Stephen Micciche, and Fit for an Autopsy guitarist Will Putney — released the record's first single, A White Horse Covered In Blood. Puciato said:
"Not that all of them weren’t, but this one was a lot of fun to write. The bass-centric part in the back half of the song is one of my favorite moments on the whole record. Shout out to big Mitch. Same with the riff that comes after it. There were a lotta fun pitches to hit/alley-oops to catch for me in this one. Chorus took me a minute so that was a nice puzzle to figure out too. It’s been a joy writing with these guys and having so much different stuff thrown at me."
The LP will follow the group's standalone singles, The Flowering and Two Alive Amongst the Dead, and their four-song EP, 'God Made Me An Animal', which was released last summer.
They'll play US festivals Louder Than Life, Furnace Fest and Aftershock Festival as part of a North American later this year, followed by a run of UK shows in January 2025. Tickets are on sale now.
