CVC Return With New Single The Lowrider (Just About Meant To Be), Confirm Winter UK Shows

CVC have returned with a new single.
The Lowrider (Just About Meant To Be) marks the first new music of 2024 from the South Welsh six-piece, who released their Welsh Music Prize-nominated debut album, 'Get Real', in 2023.
Offering tight vocal harmonies over warm, deep synths and a funky, guitar-led groove, the floor-filler also serves as their first material produced by Chris Hughes, whose works include the Tears For Fears 1985 LP 'Songs From The Big Chair'. Co-songwriter and vocalist Dave Bassey wrote in a statement:
"The Lowrider was written after a lengthy session in our old local (The City Arms in Cardiff) about my long-distance lover and how we are ‘just about meant to be’! Then when we got home and hit the ‘bass’ setting on the synth - the rest of the song just poured out. It’s called The Lowrider because we thought it’d be great to get Snoop Dogg involved with it at some point, cos it shares a lot of that that West Coast flavour!"
Alongside the new music, the group have announced their biggest UK shows to date, including a homecoming gig at Cardiff University's Great Hall on December 14, following stops in Glasgow, Leeds and Oxford. Tickets for the new dates go on general sale at 10am on Friday (September 13).
