Bon Iver Announce 'SABLE' EP With New Song S P E Y S I D E

Bon Iver have returned with a new single.
S P E Y S I D E will appear on Justin Vernon's first Bon Iver project in over five years, 'SABLE', a three-song EP due out on October 18 via Jagjaguwar.
Penned between 2020 and 2023 from ideas conceived in Key West and the Isles of Minneapolis, the EP was recorded at his April Base studio, Wisconsin, with material emerging from by a breakdown Vernon suffered that left him considering quitting music altogether.
Produced by Bon Iver and Jim-E Stack, the EP's stripped back sound finds Vernon returning to his solo acoustic roots. As per a press release, it signals, "a space for Vernon to unpack the darkness, pressure and anxiety that amounted to one of the most trying periods of his life."
It's previewed with the sparse, introspective lead single, S P E Y S I D E, which focuses on vocals and acoustic guitar, and features long-time collaborator Rob Moose contributing viola. Head below to view the song's accompanying atmospheric black and white video by Erinn Springer.
'SABLE' follows Bon Iver's fourth and most recent album, 'i,i', released in 2019.
