Halsey has shared a new song called I Never Loved You.
The swirling '80s-inspired ballad finds the New Jersey artist channelling Kate Bush. It follows on from Ego, Lucky, The End and Lonely Is The Muse in previewing 'The Great Impersonator', due out on October 25.
In anticipation of her fifth studio album, Halsey revealed she's paying tribute to the musical icons who inspired various tracks on the record. Posting on Instagram earlier this week, she wrote: "From now till the album drops on October 25, I will be impersonating a different icon every day and teasing a snippet of the song they inspired."
The first tribute saw the pop star dressed like country icon Dolly Parton, while day two of the countdown saw her mimic PJ Harvey. Day three offered an image of Halsey matching an old Kate Bush photograph, with the pop star posing as Cher on day four.
The record serves as the follow-up to 2021’s 'If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power'.
