BLACKPINK's ROSÉ has teamed up with Bruno Mars for a new single.
APT. is a catchy pop track that's inspired by a drinking game played in Korea, known as "the apartment game". It serves as the first preview of the singer's debut solo studio album, 'Rosie', which is due out on December 6 through Atlantic Records.
Head below to view the song's accompanying video, co-directed by Mars and Daniel Ramos. Rosé explained,
"APT. is actually my favorite Korean drinking game that I play with my friends back home. It’s so simple, puts a smile on your face, and breaks the ice at any party. One night in the studio I taught my crew how to play the game. Everyone was fascinated, especially when I started the chant, so we played around with it and I said we should make a song out of it… and after Bruno joined the track, the rest became history!"
BLACKPINK, meanwhile, released their latest album, 'Born Pink', in 2022. Other members of the group have also gone solo, with Lisa and Jennie releasing the singles Moonlit Floor and Mantra, respectively, earlier this month.
APT. marks Mars' second surprise collaboration of 2024, after he previously teamed up with Lady Gaga for Die With A Smile. He's currently touring South America ahead of another leg of his Las Vegas residency in December. Head here for dates.
