Biig Piig has announced her debut album.
Having teased fans with singles 4AM and Decimal earlier this year, the Irish artist will release '11:11' on February 7 via RCA. To coincide with the announcement, the singer-songwriter has shared the new single Favourite Girl, an upbeat, clubby alt-pop offering that she describes as, "a tongue in cheek flirty song I made with Maverick Sabre and Zach Nahome.
"When writing it, especially the pre I imagined a Barbie like world and wrote from that perspective. I had so much fun making this track."
Commenting on the album's title, she continued: "11:11 has been a recurring number throughout my life, especially whilst writing this record. Whenever I see it, I take a moment to reflect and dream about the possibilities ahead. This album captures various points in my journey, symbolizing synchronicity—the idea that things happen for a reason, exactly as they should.
"Through the highs and lows, this process has been exactly what it needed to be. '11:11' represents my reflections over the past two years, and the grounding I've found along the way."
Biig Piig, whose real name is Jessica Smyth, has also scheduled a UK and European tour for early 2025. She'll kick off the run on February 15 in Birmingham, before stops in Dublin, Belfast, Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds, Bristol and London, where she'll play the Roundhouse. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on November 1.
