Mahalia Returns With New Single Pick Up The Pace Featuring Bayka

Mahalia has returned with a new single, Pick Up The Pace.
Embracing dancehall and reggae influences from her Afro-Caribbean roots, the track features Jamaican artist Bayka and marks the British R&B star's first solo release since her second album, 'IRL', arrived in July 2023. She said:
"I wanted to celebrate artists like Bayka—these incredible Jamaican voices—and give the UK a moment to reconnect with the dancehall and reggae that helped shape our sound."
"I love love, but lately, I’m embracing the fun, unserious side of it all," she added. "There’s so much heaviness in the world, so I’m just trying to find those moments of joy and playfulness in my music."
