The Sherlocks Tease 'Everything Must Make Sense!' With New Single Bones

The Sherlocks have shared a new single, Bones.
Following on from Man On The Loose and Death Of Me, Bones serves as the third preview of the Yorkshire quartet's new album, 'Everything Must Make Sense!', due out on February 21.
Offering clubby beats, synths and a prominent driving groove, the hooky indie-rock track marks the band's most vibrant and anthemic material to date. Frontman and guitarist Kiaran Crook said:
"Our third single Bones is a monster tune! Proper funky and proper driving. It’s the perfect example of us having fun in the studio, the songs in a mad tuning, there’s about four bass tracks happening at once, it just went a bit crazy whilst recording. But we were having fun, we didn’t want to restrict ourselves whenever it’s sounding good. This is our fifth record and if you can’t try out mad ideas by now, when can you? I think the fans are gonna really love this tune when they hear it. Definitely one to be excited about! It sounds like if Prodigy and Primal Scream had a baby, it’s a MONSTER!"
On the new record, he added: "This album feels different to any other album we’ve done before. I know it’s cliché, but it’s true, the songs are so varied. I feel like we’re at a point where we’re so comfortable in our own identity that we can allow ourselves to try ideas and not be afraid of the outcome as it’s inevitably gonna end up sounding like us. I feel like it’s an album the fans will really get behind when they finally hear and certainly one that’s going to surprise a lot of people. Get ready."
The Sherlocks are currently touring the UK as special guests on Shed Seven's 30th anniversary tour, which hits Newcastle's O2 City Hall tonight (November 29). They'll support their fifth LP with a spring headline UK and European tour, before reuniting with Shed Seven for a Sounds Of The City concert in Leeds on July 11, and an appearance at Tramlines festival in Sheffield on July 27.
