CocoRosie have laid out plans for their eighth studio album.
The American sister duo will release 'Little Death Wishes' through their new label home Joyful Noise on March 28, following up 2020's 'Put the Shine On'.
Featuring 12 tracks, including Bianca and Sierra Casady's 2024 single, Least I Have You, it also boasts collaborations with Chance The Rapper and Deerhoof's Greg Saunier. The siblings have today offered a further preview in the form of Cut Stitch Scar, which was written by Bianca while getting over heartbreak. Incorporating elements of pop, hip hop, opera, folk and electronic, it tackles the false starts of grief between sparse and dense dreamlike passages. The pair explained:
"Cut Stitch Scar touches the very core of our universal waywardness and the precarious and precious nature of being human."
CocoRosie will support the LP with an extensive European tour in the spring, which includes UK shows in London, Cambridge, Bristol and Brighton between May 20 and 23. Tickets are on sale now, except for London and Cambridge, which go on general sale at 10am local time on Friday (January 17).
