Bradley Simpson has shared another single from his debut solo album.
Written on his 1961 Gibson Hummingbird guitar, and leaning into indie-rock and alt-pop territory, Carpet Burn serves as the latest preview of 'The Panic Years', due out on February 28. Introducing the track, Simpson said:
"Carpet Burn was the first song I wrote when I got to New York to write the album and it always felt really special. It’s a song about wanting more time with someone special to you, and it came around really quickly. I wrote it in my hotel room in about half an hour and took it into the studio the next day. The main bulk of the finished song was done on that first day. I’ve been playing it at shows for the past few months and hearing the fans singing the words back without the song even being released has blown my mind so I’m excited for them to have the song!"
It follows the record's previously shared singles, Holy Grail, Cry At The Moon, Picasso, Daisies and Always Like This.
The lead singer and guitarist of The Vamps will support the LP with his biggest headline UK and Ireland tour to date in May, following Australian shows in February. He'll also appear at this year's Together Again festival in Cheshire in July and Portsmouth's Victorious Festival in August. Tickets are on sale now.
