Employed To Serve have announced their first album in four years.

The British metalcore band will release 'Fallen Star' on April 25, following up 2021's 'Conquering'. Produced and mixed by their long-time collaborator Lewis Johns, the 11-song record is led by the new single Atonement, which is built around a hulking, metallic hardcore groove, with duelling guitar solos, and guest guttural and clean vocals from Lorna Shore's Will Ramos. Guitarist and co-vocalist Sammy Urwin said:

"Atonement takes aim at those who try to lord their power over you. The only way to defeat these people is by rising above their behaviour and pushing forward on your own path. We wanted to lead with this single because it is the track that encompasses the ethos of Employed to Serve as a whole. We're strong believers of working hard and not letting life and the negative people in it affect your goals and aspirations."

Head below to view the song's accompanying video, themed around the US version of The Office and filmed at the mockumentary sitcom's location in Scranton, Pennsylvania.  On the clip, vocalist Justine Jones added:

"The studio was a shrine to the show, and Dwight, which was fun to explore in between filming! We wanted to portray someone in power/authority trying to wear down their captive through aggression. I found it very hard to keep a straight face while choking out Sammy, but by take 15 or so I got more into it as the jetlag and hot weather made me feel more unhinged…"

Other guests on the album include Killswitch Engage's Jesse Leach on the track Whose Side Are You On? and Svalbard's Serena Cherry on Last Laugh.

Employed To Serve will support the LP with their Fallen Star UK tour in April, featuring support from Celestial Sanctuary and Burner. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday (January 24). They'll also appear at 2000trees festival in July.
