Will Smith Shares New Single Beautiful Scars Featuring Big Sean

Will Smith has enlisted Big Sean and Obanga for a new single, Beautiful Scars.
The Academy Award and four-time Grammy Award-winner posted a cryptic video earlier this week inspired by the original Matrix film, which Smith famously turned down in the late '90s so that he could star in Wild Wild West instead.
Following several other Matrix-inspired teasers posts, Smith took to social media last weekend to announce the collaboration. Built on OmArr and LeXoskeleton's soulful, piano-based production, it finds Smith reflecting on his recent public fallout, while dropping quick-fire braggadocios bars about himself and his flaws. Big Sean also contributes a verse that's characterized by his signature witty, rapid flow.
Arriving via SLANG Recordings, it's Smith's first single of 2025, and previews his first album in over 20 years, 'Based On A True Story', due out in March, through a release date is still to be confirmed. It'll feature his 2024 singles Tantrum with Joyner Lucas, Work Of Art with Russ and Jaden, You Can Make It featuring the Sunday Service Choir, Chandler Moor and Kirk Franklin, and Light Em Up with Sean Paul.
