Tom Jones has annouced an outdoor show in England for his Defy Explanation Tour.
The legendary Welsh vocalist will headline Sandown Park Racecourse on July 30 as part of the Jockey Club Live concert series.Tickets go on general sale at 10am tomorrow (February 14). Jones said:
“Sandown Park Racecourse, over the years, has become a real highlight on my summer calendar. The fans really enjoy the day so are always wonderful, and I can’t wait to spend a Summer’s evening with you all this July.”
Sandown Park Racecourse's general manager, Sarah Drabwell also commented: “Sir Tom is one of the most unique and treasured performers the UK has ever produced and it’s always a delight to welcome him to the racecourse. He puts on a one-of-a-kind show, and we can’t wait to welcome both long-established and new fans alike this Summer.”
Jones is the second headliner to be confirmed for the JCL series, with Texas previously announced for an August 7 concert. Tickets for that show are already on sale.
He was also recently revealed as a headliner for this summer's Camp Bestival Dorset, which also sees Sugababes and Basement Jaxx at the top of the bill.
