Erasure vocalist Andy Bell has announced a new solo album.
'Ten Crowns' was written with Grammy-winning producer, remixer, DJ, and close friend Dave Audé, and will arrive on May 2 via Crown Recordings. It features 10 tracks that were produced in Nashville and inspired by pop music, club culture and gospel.
The record boasts guest vocals from Blondie's Debbie Harry on the track Hearts A Liar, and Italian-American powerhouse vocalist Sarah Potenza on Lies So Deep.
Alongside news of the album, Bell has shared the propulsive dance-pop track Don't Cha Know, one of the first songs penned for the project that arrives with a video directed by Stephano Barberis. Bell said:
"This album’s about picking yourself up, dusting yourself off, embracing life – and about taking that feeling on even when you’re fighting demons in the world, like homophobia, and fighting demons in yourself. It’s about being celebratory and uplifting."
He previously teased the LP with the single Breaking Thru The Interstellar, which arrived at the start of February.
The 60-year-old will support the LP with a UK and European tour in May and June. Tickets are on sale now.
