Sacred Paws have shared a new single, Fall For You.
Built around Afro-pop-inspired rhythms, with vocal harmonies and jangly guitar melodies, the bubbly indie-pop track marks the third preview of Ray Aggs and Eilidh Rodgers' new album, 'Jump Into Life', due out on March 28. They said:
"This guitar riff came about whilst we were jamming and felt a bit like a puzzle that we needed to solve to fit it into a song structure. The uneasy time signature led Ray to write lyrics about feeling on the edge of something emotionally devastating and fighting to stay balanced. Jack’s guitar solo at the end took the song into an even weirder melodic space that was also really exciting when he came in the studio to record it. The strings added even more drama, in a way that almost felt like too much, but we decided to take the plunge."
The duo previously teased the follow-up to 2019's 'Run Around The Sun' with the singles Turn Me Down and Another Day.
They'll celebrate the release with a launch show at Glasgow's Mono on March 30, before embarking on a short tour of the UK in April and May, which includes a co-headline show with Mohammad Syfkhan at Oslo in London.
