Billy Corgan's New Solo Project To Play Music Of The Smashing Pumpkins On June North American Tour

Billy Corgan of The Smashing Pumpkins has announced a new solo project titled Billy Corgan and The Machines of God.
The four-piece will celebrate the 30th anniversary of The Smashing Pumpkins' third studio album, 'Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness', and the 25th anniversary of their fifth album, 'Machina/The Machines of God', with a North American tour this June.
Billed as A Return To Zero, the trek will kick off with a performance in Baltimore, Maryland on June 7 and wrap up with a show in Minneapolis, Minnesota on June 29. Other stops include Boston, Toronto, Montreal, New York, Philadelphia, Detroit, Grand Rapids, Pittsburgh, Cleveland and Cincinnati. The run also features headline sets at Taste of Joliet in Joliet, Illinois on June 20, and Milwaukee's Summerfest on June 27.
Each show will see the band, comprising Corgan, Smashing Pumpkins touring guitarist Kiki Wong, drummer Jake Hayden, and bassist Kid Tigrrr, performing songs from the two albums. They'll also run through select tracks from The Smashing Pumpkins' latest studio full-length, 'Aghori Mhori Mei', released in 2024.

Alongside the news, The Smashing Pumpkins have announced remixed and remastered reissues of 'Machina/The Machines of God' and its companion LP 'Machina II/The Friends & Enemies of Modern Music'. Also, an expansive 80-song box set, featuring a 48-track ‘Machina’ plus an additional 32 bonus tracks of demos, outtakes, and live performances, will be available exclusively from Corgan's Madame Zuzu’s tea shop in Highland Park, Illinois. Additionally, a 16-song reissue of the original 'Machina/The Machines of God' vinyl will also arrive on August 22.
Corgan previously scheduled a run of seven hometown orchestral shows celebrating 'Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness', with the Lyric Opera Of Chicago hosting performances between November 21 and 30. Head here for more details on those dates. Tickets go on general sale on April 11.
Ahead of the anniversary shows, The Smashing Pumpkins will return to Europe and the UK for The Aghori Tour, which includes outdoor concerts in London, Halifax, Scarborough and Colchester between August 10 and 14. Support in London and Colchester will come from Skunk Anansie and White Lies, with White Lies only supporting in Halifax and Scarborough. Tickets are on sale now.
