The Maccabees have announced new shows for the summer.
The reunited indie-rockers will play The Academy in Dublin, Glasgow's Barrowland Ballroom and the O2 Victoria Warehouse in Manchester on August 17, 20 and 21, respectively. Tickets go on general sale at 9am this Friday (April 11).
The gigs will follow their previously confirmed European gigs in June, and prepare them for their headline performance at London's Victoria Park for the All Points East concert series on August 24, where they'll be joined by Bombay Bicycle Club, Dry Cleaning, The Cribs, Nilüfer Yanya, The Murder Capital, Divorce, Prima Queen and more. Tickets for those dates are already on sale.
This summer's shows will be their first since their farewell concert at Alexandra Palace in London back in 2017. They also coincide with the 10th anniversary of their chart-topping album, 'Marks To Prove It'.
Guitarist Felix White said: “None of us thought we’d ever play shows again anywhere. Hopefully the whole tour will have a real sense of something precious about it.’’
